Riverwood Fire Station Visit
Mr MARK COURE (Oatley)
—Speaker, I recently had the wonderful opportunity to visit Riverwood Fire Station, where I had a great time catching up with the team. Fire Stations are an integral part of every community. They provide critical services that help to keep our neighbourhoods safe and secure. In addition to emergency services, fire stations also promote a range of services from fire prevention education to community outreach. During my time with the team in Riverwood, I saw first-hand the meaningful work that they do to support our local community. It was a pleasure to meet the team, including a number of new recruits. I am pleased that there is a growing level of female participation at the Riverwood Fire Station and as such, I have been pushing for urgent upgrades to the facilities. An upgrade will allow for the team to better support the female firies by providing them with their own separate amenities and spaces, encouraging more local women to get involved. I would like to thank Greg Nolan and his amazing team for the hard work that they do for our community, and I look forward to working alongside them well into the future.
