Mr MARK COURE (Oatley) (18:18:17):

I recently had the honour of attending the Australian Wildlife Society's annual president's luncheon with the Minister for Energy and Environment, Matt Kean, and my good friend the member for Rockdale, Steve Kamper. This event acknowledged the retirement of former president Suzanne Medway after 30 years within the organisation. This is an outstanding achievement. I am incredibly proud of everything that Suzanne has achieved over the past 30 years. I also extend my congratulations to associate professor Julie Old, who has been announced as the incoming president for 2021. Julie is a wildlife biologist who is passionate about preserving our native wildlife and conserving our natural environment. I have no doubt that Julie will do an incredible job. I have complete confidence that she will continue the presidential legacy that Suzanne has led over the past 12 years. I wish all members of the 2021 executive the very best for a fantastic year ahead. I look forward to continuing to work alongside the outstanding organisation of the Australian Wildlife Society.
