Southern Sydney Jobs and Skills Fair
Mr MARK COURE (Oatley)
—Speaker, I recently had the opportunity to attend the Southern Sydney Jobs and Skills Fair hosted by the St George Business Chamber in Jubilee Stadium Kogarah, earlier this year. The Southern Sydney Skills & Jobs Expo is a unique opportunity for job seekers, students, and community members to explore potential job opportunities and career paths. The event featured a diverse range of businesses and government agencies showcasing their industries and provided attendees with valuable insights into the skills and qualifications needed for various roles. As the Shadow Minister for Jobs and Industry, I emphasise the importance of upskilling our local workforce. By equipping individuals with the necessary skills, we can attract high-quality, well-paying jobs to our community. Investing in education and training not only enhances employability but also strengthens our economy, ensuring a brighter future for everyone in our community. I would like to thank the St George Business Chamber, all organisers, and stallholders for putting together the amazing event. It's initiatives like this where together, we can build a skilled workforce that meets the demands of a rapidly changing job market.
