Emeritus Professor Kate Moore

Mr MARK COURE (Oatley)

—Speaker, I rise to congratulate Emeritus Professor Kate Moore for her wonderful service to St George Hospital over the years, as well as the Australian medical field as a whole. Her list of achievements are notable, with a long history of service both within our community and across the State. Professor Moore started the pelvic floor unit at St George Hospital in 1992, which was the largest service of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere and helped countless individuals. She has since gone on to lecture at the University of NSW, whilst also serving as Deputy Chairwoman of the St George and Sutherland Medical Research Foundation, and also Deputy Chairwoman of the Medical Staff Council at St George Hospital. Researchers and professers like Professor Moore make such an enormous difference within our community. Her contributions to the medical field have not only advanced our understanding of various health conditions, but have also inspired countless students to pursue excellence in medicine. I would like to thank Professor Moore once again and wish her all the very best as she continues her research and undergraduate training.
