CanRevive 29th Anniversary Charity Dinner

Mr MARK COURE (Oatley)

—Speaker, I recently attended the CanRevive 29th Anniversary Charity Dinner and would like to highlight the fantastic work they do in my community and throughout the State. CanRevive was established in 1995 to help Chinese-speaking people throughout their cancer journey. They have since helped well over 8000 cancer patients and their families. Every week, over 250 people attend activities in their four centres and their services touch the lives of about 350 new cancer patients and carers each year. Many of these people living with our community and these services ensure that these people will not face cancer alone. Both Cancer and Multiculturalism are two causes that are very near and dear to my heart, so to see an organisation of such calibre operating throughout New South Wales is absolutely incredible. I would like to thank the talented executive committee, President Eric Yeung, Vice Presidents Professor Stephen Li and Raymond Chan, as well as all other staff and members who continue to make Cancer more bearable for thousands of people. I look forward to working alongside CanRevive to help deliver positive outcomes for years to come.
