Rotary Club of Hurstville – 72nd Annual Changeover Dinner

Mr MARK COURE (Oatley)

—Speaker, I would like to thank the Rotary Club of Hurstville and recognise their organisation for everything that they do in our local community. The club hosted their 72nd annual changeover dinner recently, in which one of my good friends, Mr Russell Lee, was made the incoming president for 2024-2025. The club has a very rich history and has been operating within our local area for many years now. They are committed to supporting many charitable organisations and have donated hundreds of thousands of dollars over the years. Last financial year, the club donated just over $17,000 to a number of local groups and charitable organisations. What a fantastic effort! I would also like to thank former president, David Fan, for his service over the years. I have been privileged to work with David for some time and he has done a wonderful service to the Club. I would also like to congratulate the new Hurstville Rotary Board including, President Russell Lee, Vice President David Fan, Secretary Jan Gartrell, Treasurer Kevin Smith, and Director's Janice Hall, Susan Leahy, Marion Smith and Ivis Yung.
