Autism Community Network

Mr MARK COURE (Oatley) (19:21:52):

I congratulate the team from the Autism Community Network, who recently completed their annual Mount Kosciuszko climb in support of Autism Month. Led by St George local Vanessa Gauci, the Chief Executive Officer of the Autism Community Network, the team of 12 ascended Kosciuszko late last month. They set a goal to raise $30,000, which they absolutely smashed. I have been incredibly proud to support the Autism Community Network for many years. The work it does in our great State is nothing short of incredible. With one in 70 individuals diagnosed with autism in Australia, the support the Autism Community Network has provided over the years has changed lives. It helps to promote inclusion and social interaction by hosting free support groups and activities, all run by volunteers. Once again, I congratulate Vanessa Gauci and the entire team who took on this endeavour. I also thank all the volunteers at the Autism Community Network for the fantastic work they do. I look forward to working alongside them in the future.
