Irene Hatzipetros Re-Elected As Chairperson of Football St George

—Speaker, I rise to congratulate Irene Hatzipetros, who was recently re‑elected as Chairperson of Football St George. I have known Irene for many years now and I can confidently say that she is one-of-a-kind. Football St George is a grassroots sporting organisation that has operated in our community for many years now. They continue to grow year after year, thanks in part to the wonderful team of executives and staff members that continue to foster inclusivity and excellence. Local football in the St George region continues to grow and flourish and we need a team of professionals to ensure that this growth is met with commitment and drive. Football St George held over 3000 games last year – what an incredible milestone! I know firsthand that Irene has worked incredibly hard over the years to deliver for the football community. I would once again like to congratulate Irene on her re-election and wish her all the very best over the coming years. I look forward to working alongside Football St George well into the future.
