Riverwood Community Markets

—Speaker, I had the opportunity recently to visit the Riverwood Community Markets, and I must say, I had an absolutely wonderful time. Whilst the markets have had an extended break due to COVID, it is incredible to see them back on again, with much of the Riverwood community coming down to support the local stallholders. The weather was absolutely perfect - a sunny 27 degrees. Many locals took advantage of this and strolled down early to hunt for some bargains. The Riverwood Community Markets just seem to be getting bigger and bigger each time I visit. There was truly so much on offer – everything from handmade crafts, and delicious baked goods, to pre-loved clothes. I also enjoyed a wonderful morning tea, made with love by the volunteers at the Riverwood Community Centre. These guys do an absolutely fantastic job and should be commended for their efforts. Once again, I would like to thank everyone who rolled up their sleeves to make the Riverwood Community Markets such a smashing success. I look forward to attending again sometime in the near future.
