Suspension of Standing and Sessional Orders: Bills

Mr RON HOENIG (HeffronMinister for Local Government) (10:03:20):

— I move:

That standing and sessional orders be suspended on this day to:

(1)Postpone the introduction and second reading of the ICAC and Other Independent Commissions Legislation Amendment (Independent Funding) Bill 2023.

(2)Permit the member for Lake Macquarie to introduce the Human Tissue Amendment (Ante-mortem Interventions) Bill 2023 and complete the giving of his second reading speech at the conclusion of the time for consideration of general business notices of motions (for bills), if required.

We do not oppose the suspension of standing orders.
