Leanna Nguyen NSW Dame Marie Bashir Peace Awards

Mr MARK COURE (Oatley)

—Speaker, I rise to congratulate a fantastic young leader and role model in my community, Le-anna Nguyen, who recently received a NSW Dame Marie Bashir Peace Award. Promoted by the National Council of Women New South Wales, the Dame Marie Bashir Peace Awards acknowledge young women across the state for their contributions to schools and communities. These young women are truly outstanding role models, making a significant impact to social justice in their respective schools and communities, whilst inspiring others to do the same. Le-Anna is currently a student in year 12 at Beverly Hills Girls High School, and has shown dedication not only to her studies, but also care and commitment to her fellow students by fostering harmonious relationships within her school community. The Dame Marie Bashir Peace Award is not just a recognition of Le-Anna's past achievements, but a testament to her potential as a future leader. I would like to congratulate Le-Anna on her remarkable achievements and well-deserved success. I am entirely confident that your future endeavours will be filled with even-great success.
