Gezel Bardossi on the Voice Australia

Mr MARK COURE (Oatley)

—Speaker, I would like to congratulate an exceptionally talented young constituent in my community, Gezel Bardossi. Gezel is a student at St Raphael's Catholic Primary School in South Hurstville, and recently made it through the blind auditions on The Voice Australia. What a fantastic achievement! Despite being only 12 years of age, Gezel has proven that she has what it takes to make it on the big stage. As the youngest contestant on The Voice, she has certainly captured the attention of not only locals, but the entire nation. Specialising in a smooth blend of rock and blues, Gezel has wowed not only the crowds, but the judges, with Rita Ora stepping up to be her mentor. It's always fantastic to see the younger generation pursuing their musical goals. There is truly no shortage of musical talent in the local area, and this is something I am so proud of. I look forward to watching Gezel's journey closely on The Voice. The entire community is cheering you on Gezel – go well and best of luck!
