Cass – Bus Pole Launch Ceremony

Mr MARK COURE (Oatley)

—Speaker, I rise to recognise the CASS Residential Aged Care Facility in Campsie, who recently implemented a fantastic initiative designed to support sufferers of dementia. With the support of the Kowloon Motor Bus Company based in Hong Kong, CASS has installed a brand new 'bus pole' in their facility, specially designed to reignite fond memories of home for seniors who grew up in Hong Kong. CASS has worked incredibly hard to deliver culturally and linguistically appropriate services to seniors for the last forty years. This is CASS's latest endeavour in the aged care space, after opening a brand new 63-bed facility in 2015. I am beyond proud of the work thar CASS continues to do for locals in my community, ensuring that those from diverse backgrounds have support services available to them at a moment's notice. I would like to congratulate the Board of Directors from CASS, including Dr Bo. Zhou, Anthony Pang, Henry Pan OAM, Dr. Leng Tan and Tica Lee. I am incredibly pleased to work so closely alongside an organisation that operates to such a high standard within my community.
