Bandana Cultural School - STEM Exhibition

Mr MARK COURE (Oatley)

—Speaker, I rise to congratulate the Bandana Cultural School for hosting an incredibly successful STEM Exhibition, aiming to reignite a love for science and technology amongst students. STEM, which stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, is not just a collection of subjects, but instead, a gateway for innovation and progress. It was wonderful to see several exhibitions displaying the importance of STEM research amongst students. Our students in NSW represent the future for a competitive Australia on the world stage, in terms of creative development and entrepreneurship. As the Shadow Minister for Jobs, Industry, Innovation, Science and Technology, I understand the significance of teaching school kids about STEM. Not only are there ample career opportunities in this field, but STEM teaches kids about the importance of critical thinking and working together to solve problems. I'd like to personally thank Dr Tanima Banerjee, director of Bandana Cultural School, for her hospitality and successful organisation of the event. I have the privilege of working closely alongside the Bandana Cultural School, and I look forward to strengthening our bond into the future.
