Forest Rangers FC - Make it Red

Mr MARK COURE (Oatley)

—I would like to congratulate the Forest Rangers Football Club for coming together and supporting the 'Make it Red' initiative, which I had the privilege to attend at Gannon's Park in Peakhurst. Whilst it was a very wet day, parents, players and much of the community came out in droves to support the cause. Gannon's Park was absolutely covered in red, with players getting behind the cause by wearing red hair ties, bows and ribbons. The initiative was started by the 'Heartbeat of Football' Organisation, headed by Andrew Paschalidis, who are doing some fantastic work to promote cardiovascular health in football. I would like to thank the entire team at the 'Heartbeat of Football' for their incredible efforts over the last few years. Their mission is simple, but their message is strong: zero heart-related deaths at football grounds in Australia. I would also like to thank the President of the Forest Rangers Football Club, Con Sorras, as well as all the fantastic and dedicated team who put on an outstanding event. I look forward to supporting many more Forest Rangers events into the future.
