Foodbank Visit 2022

Mr MARK COURE (OatleyMinister for Multiculturalism, and Minister for Seniors)

——Speaker, just recently I had the privilege of attending the NSW Foodbank facility at Glendenning with my staff. The team and I visit every year, volunteering to pack food hampers who go to those in need. This year was a smashing success, with the team and I packing 241 hampers throughout the day. These hampers will be kept away especially for anyone who requires emergency assistance over the Christmas period. Supporting the work of Foodbank and other hunger relief charities is so important, especially given the increased demand for these services over the last few years. It was my absolute pleasure to support all the work they do by hosting a Foodbank briefing for Members of Parliament in November, alongside my Parliamentary Colleague, Jihad Did. I would like to thank Foodbank, their CEO John Robertson, and all the wonderful volunteers for the fantastic work they do within communities across NSW and wider-Australia. I look forward to supporting them in 2023.
