2022 NSW Young Australian of the Year

Mr MARK COURE (OatleyMinister for Multiculturalism, and Minister for Seniors)

——Speaker, I rise today to recognise Dr Daniel Nour who is the 2022 NSW Young Australian of the Year. I have personally known Daniel and his family for over 10 years now and I have always found him to be a very community minded individual, who is extremely well deserving of this fantastic achievement. Daniel is the Founder of Street Side Medics which is a not-for-profit, GP-led mobile medical service for people experiencing homelessness. Street Side Medics has around 145 volunteers, and four clinics across New South Wales, caring for over 300 patients. Daniel's organisation attempts to treat a number of communicable illnesses which may often be neglected or unnoticed. Daniel truly is a role-model for many of our communities as his dedication and selflessness to improving the health of his patients is very admirable. I would like to congratulate Daniel on being named the 2022 NSW Young Australian of the Year and commend him for all of his hard work with Street Side Medics.
