Stay NSW Vouchers Go Live

The NSW Government has recently announced that a $50 accommodation voucher will be available from today as part of the $250 million Stay NSW program.

Applications for the vouchers will be made available by Local Government Area in a staggered approach. Every community, including the St George area, will have access to them by March 3rd.

Member for Oatley, Mark Coure said, that he was excited for the rollout of the vouchers and the benefit they will bring to hospitality businesses within the local community and NSW as a whole.

“It will give people in the community the chance to enjoy some of the fantastic destinations that New South Wales has on offer,” Mr Coure said.

“Not only will it benefit the local community, but it will also help struggling tourism operators throughout New South Wales. It will be a much needed economic boost to their sector”, Mr Coure said.

There are more than 1,200 Stay NSW businesses registered across the State but it is not too late for further accommodation premises to get on board. Stay NSW Vouchers are valid until 9 October, 2022.

Minister for Customer Service and Digital Government, Victor Dominello said, the voucher initiative follows a successful pilot in the Sydney CBD. The program was recently expanded and fast-tracked so residents of NSW can enjoy a staycation sooner.

“Applying is fast and simple via the Service NSW mobile app, through the Service

NSW website or by calling 13 77 88 for assistance,” Minister Dominello said.

“People can pool the $50 Stay NSW Vouchers with relatives or mates, with no redemption limit. Apply as soon as you can so you can check-in somewhere special and check-out somewhere new.”

Participating businesses will be able to redeem vouchers seven days a week, including public holidays. Customers will be able to search for places to stay on the easy-to-use business finder.
