Police Minister Michael Gallacher comes to Hurstville

Member for Oatley Mark Coure welcomed the Minister for Police and Emergency Services Michael Gallacher to the electorate earlier today for a tour of the Hurstville Local Area Command Centre.

Earlier today Mr Gallacher accompanied Mr Coure on a tour of the Hurstville Local Area Command to meet with the local Police who work hard to keep our community safe.

"The Hurstville LAC has oversight of the St George region and is seen to be one of the most effective and efficient Local Command centres in the State of NSW" Mr Coure said today.

"Our local police officers do an excellent job fighting crime and keeping our community safe, they are valued members of our community"

The visit follows an earlier visit this year that welcomed 5 additional police officers to our community following their graduation from the Goulburn Police Academy.

"I am committed to providing the NSW police force with the resources and the authority they need to continue making our community one of the safest areas of New South Wales" Mr Coure concluded.

Minister Gallacher said that the Hurstville LAC is recognised for being one of the most skilled and diverse set of officers in the State.

"It is very important for us to recognise the importance of the work our local police officers do. As a former police officer myself, I understand the hard work and sacrifices that are required to be an officer" Minister Gallacher concluded.
