Local Penshurst Public School Teach Recognised by NSW Government

Local teacher Zuhal Ghafauri of Penshurst Public School has been recognised as one of Australia’s best at a prestigious ceremony attended by the Minister for Education, Sarah Mitchell.

The 2022 Highly Accomplished and Lead Teacher Awards celebrate those teachers who have attained the highest levels of national accreditation.

Member for Oatley, Mark Coure said, the accreditation showed that the teachers had demonstrated highly effective, innovative and exemplary teaching practices.

“Students at Penshurst Public are so fortunate to have Zuhal as a teacher of such high calibre.” Mr Coure said.

“Congratulations to all the teachers in our community on their achievement and thank you for the work you do in our schools.”
