Vic and Celstina Vittorio – 60th Wedding Anniversary

Mr MARK COURE (Oatley)

—Speaker, it is my honour and privilege to recognise two individuals within my community who are celebrating a very significant occasion this year. Vic and Celestina Vittorio are celebrating 60 years of marriage – what a wonderful achievement! The Mortdale couple were married on the 5 February 1964 in a small village in Sicily, Italy. When they migrated to Australia soon after, through their tireless efforts, they carved out a niche for themselves in our little community. Vic and his wife operated the fruit shop on the corner at Penshurst for over 40 years and became incredibly well-known figures locally. Their dedication to their business mirrored their commitment to each other and the locals they served. I have no doubt that over the years, Vic and Celestina have shared some very happy memories together. The date of their anniversary was also Celestina's 82nd birthday – a double cause for celebration! I would once again like to pass on my warmest congratulations to Vic and Celestina as they celebrate this wonderful achievement. May it be a time filled with joy and reflection.
