Pentecost – Message from the Hon. Mark Coure MP

I send my best wishes to everyone in New South Wales celebrating Pentecost, also known as Whitsunday.

Pentecost is an important date on the Christian calendar, as it marks the founding of the Christian church.

The festival commemorates the Descent of the Holy Spirit on the Apostles and other disciples of Jesus Christ 50 days after His death.

The gift of tongues was also bestowed on them, enabling many to share His teachings in distant lands and the beginning of the Christian church’s mission to the world.

In the spirit of this day, I wish you a wonderful Pentecost full of peace, happiness and good health.
