Community Feedback Wanted On Upcoming Works At Kings Georges Road, Beverly Hills

Mark Coure, Member for Oatley, is encouraging local residents to have their say on upcoming night works scheduled at the intersection of King Georges Road, Broad Arrow Road and Ponyara Road, Beverly Hills.

Transport for NSW will be upgrading the intersection to ease congestion and improve journey reliability.

The works will widen Broad Arrow Road to create a dedicated left turning lane, through lane and right turn lane as well as realigning footpaths and installing new line markings.

The works are proposed to take place up to five nights a week from 8pm to 5am Sunday to Thursday, and during the day from 7am to 6pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 1pm Saturdays.

It is anticipated that works will begin early August and finish in late December, weather permitting.

“King Georges Road is one of the most used roads in my electorate, with many people travelling on it to access the M5 East and south-western Sydney.”

“This upgrade will improve travel times and traffic flow for commuters, including many local residents who live in Beverly Hills, Narwee, Riverwood and Peakhurst.”

Community members are invited to provide feedback on the proposed night work schedule by Wednesday 17 June.

Feedback can be sent to Transport for NSW’s delivery partner Ventia Boral Amey Joint Venture via phone 1800 667 700 or email nswenquiries@vbajv.com.au.

All feedback on the proposed schedule will be considered and the community will be kept informed as the project progresses.

This project is part of the NSW Government’s $300 million Gateway to the South Pinch Point Program which aims to ease congestion and improve journey reliability on Sydney’s key southern corridors.
