Lugarno Lions Spring Festival
Mr MARK COURE (Oatley)
—Speaker, I rise today to recognise the Lions Club of Lugarno for hosting another fantastic Spring Festival at Gannons Park in Peakhurst. I had the pleasure of attending this much-loved community event and seeing so many local families enjoying a wonderful day together. The festival featured carnival rides, an animal farm, camel rides, live entertainment, wrestling and more than 160 community stalls, offering something for visitors of all ages. Events like the Lugarno Lions Spring Festival play an important role in bringing our community together and showcasing the many local organisations, businesses and services that contribute so much to our area. The festival's success reflects the tireless work and community spirit of the Lions Club of Lugarno and its dedicated volunteers. I thank the volunteers, emergency services, stallholders and entertainers, together with Club Rivers, Georges River Council and everyone else who helped bring the festival to life. I congratulate the Lions Club of Lugarno on another successful Spring Festival and thank its members for their continued service to our community.
