Beachside Dash

Mr MARK COURE (Oatley)

—Speaker, I rise today to recognise the extraordinary success of the 19th annual Beachside Dash, organised by the St George and Sutherland Medical Research Foundation. This year's event attracted a record 1,800 participants and raised more than $120,000 to support vital medical research. I had the pleasure of attending the Beachside Dash and witnessing firsthand the tremendous community spirit that makes this event so special. People of all ages and abilities came together to walk, run and raise funds for research that will help improve treatments, patient care and health outcomes for families across our local community. The remarkable turnout and fundraising result demonstrate the generosity of our community and its strong commitment to supporting better healthcare. Events like the Beachside Dash are only possible through the hard work of organisers, volunteers, participants, sponsors and donors who generously contribute their time and support. I congratulate the St George and Sutherland Medical Research Foundation and everyone involved in delivering another outstanding Beachside Dash. Most importantly, I thank every person who participated or donated to help make a meaningful difference through local medical research.
