Share the Dignity
Mr MARK COURE (Oatley)
—Speaker, I rise today to thank the incredibly generous members of our local community who supported the recent Share the Dignity collection through my electorate office. The response was extraordinary, with the community donating 342 packets of sanitary pads, 93 packets of tampons, three packets of incontinence pads, six pairs of period underwear and an assortment of items for handbags. Share the Dignity performs important work supporting women and girls experiencing homelessness, domestic violence and difficult circumstances by ensuring they can access essential period products. Each item donated provides practical assistance while also sending an important message that those facing hardship are not alone and that their dignity matters. This remarkable result demonstrates the compassion and generosity for which our local community is so well known. I sincerely thank every person who contributed to the collection, along with the dedicated Share the Dignity volunteers who ensure these essential items reach those who need them most.
