Armenian National Committee of Australia

Mr MARK COURE (Oatley)

—Speaker, I rise to recognise the outstanding contributions of the Armenian National Committee of Australia and its ongoing work to strengthen the Armenian-Australian community. I recently had the pleasure of attending the Armenian National Committee of Australia's Partners Dinner, which brought together community leaders, elected representatives and supporters to celebrate the organisation's achievements and commitment to public service. I was also delighted to welcome participants in the ANC-AU Junior Advocates Program to the New South Wales Parliament. The program provides young Armenian‑Australians with a valuable opportunity to learn about our parliamentary system, policy and leadership through hands-on experiences with Members of Parliament and their staff. It was a privilege to host Nanar Shegoian and Moses Kilirjian in Parliament as part of this initiative. Both participants were very engaged and overall, an absolute pleasure to host. I have no doubt they have very bright futures ahead. I congratulate the Armenian National Committee of Australia on its outstanding work in supporting young leaders and strengthening multiculturalism in New South Wales.
