Lamrock Committee

Mr MARK COURE (Oatley) (17:07:11):

I congratulate the Lamrock Committee on celebrating 35 years of service to St George Hospital and our local community. Since its establishment in 1991, the committee has worked to raise funds for hospital equipment and improvements, ensuring that patients receive the very best care. The committee was named in honour of Dr James Lamrock, the founding doctor of the original St George Cottage Hospital, and has grown to become an important part of our community. Over the past 35 years, generations of volunteers have organised fundraising events, including trivia nights, golf days, fashion parades and art shows. Their outstanding efforts have even been recognised nationally with Fundraising Institute Australasia's national award for excellence in fundraising. Many members have given 35 years of service and continue to volunteer well into their eighties and nineties. I congratulate everyone involved with the Lamrock Committee on this remarkable milestone and thank them for their extraordinary contribution to our community over the past 35 years.
