H&m Ferman Peakhurst

Mr MARK COURE (Oatley)

—Speaker, I would like to thank the team from H&M Ferman, who recently hosted me at their manufacturing facility in Peakhurst. It was wonderful to see all of the hard work that goes into producing high-quality Australian-made products that help keep our transport industry moving. Since 1975, H&M Ferman has been servicing the Australian automotive industry and has grown into Australia's leading manufacturer of truck and bus rear-view mirrors. As a family-owned business, they have supplied original equipment mirrors to some of the biggest names in the transport industry for over 35 years, including Isuzu, Hino, Iveco, Volvo, Scania and Daimler-Fuso. What impressed me most during my visit was the innovation taking place right here in our local community. From designing and manufacturing advanced mirror systems to producing customised LED lighting solutions for trucks and buses, H&M Ferman continues to demonstrate that Australian manufacturing remains alive and well. Local manufacturing is incredibly important and companies like H&M Ferman are creating jobs and opportunities right here in our local area. I would like to thank Michael and Shirley Ferman for the fantastic work they are doing in the local manufacturing space. I look forward to visiting again soon.
