Thank Your Pharmacist Day 2025

—Speaker, it was an absolute pleasure to celebrate 'Thank Your Pharmacist Day' by visiting several local pharmacies recently, alongside the Shadow Minister for Health, Kellie Sloane. Together, we had the opportunity to visit both Rakoty Pharamacy in Peakhurst and Galluzzo's Chemist in Riverwood. It was wonderful to meet with the owners and staff, to discuss the ongoing challenges and success stories associated with owning and operating a Pharmacy. As our local area continues to evolve, we know that now more than ever, Pharmacists are doing more and more to meet the growing demand of our healthcare system. This will be especially important as we move into flu season this year. Did you know that Australian Pharmacists deliver over 2 million influenza vaccines every year? I would like to thank Vivian Mikhail and the team at Rakoty Pharamacy, as well as Benjamin Galluzzo from Galluzzo's Chemist, for their exceptional work in our community. Further, I extend thanks to all pharmacists in our local community. I encourage everyone in our local area to show their appreciation for their pharmacist by saying thank you!
