Shunde Association 30th Anniversary Dinner

Mr MARK COURE (Oatley)

—Speaker, I recently had the privilege of attending the Shunde Association's 30th Anniversary Dinner in Hurstville with Deputy Mayor Nancy Liu and my Parliamentary colleagues. I have been working alongside with the Shunde Association for some time now, and I must say, every one of their events is always so culturally enriching. Everyone I spoke to enjoyed the evening thoroughly, with the music and cultural performances making for an incredible atmosphere. This Shunde Association is such a vital part of our local community. They have been around since 1994 and promote the values of friendship, fraternity and cooperation of the Shunde migrants in Australia. The Shunde Association do a fantastic job of encouraging cultural relations and promoting multiculturalism in Australia and I am extremely grateful for their contributions to diversity and difference. I would like to thank President, Sam Luo, and Inaugural President, David Lung for their warm hospitality and the hard work they put into promoting cross cultural relations here in New South Wales. I look forward to our continued friendship and attending more events with the Shunde Association in the future.
