2024 Westfield Local Hero

—Speaker, I am delighted to acknowledge Zoe Ong from Shopfront Arts Co-op, who was named the Westfield Hurstville's Local Hero for 2024. What an amazing achievement! Zoe's work in our community includes volunteering on the Shopfront Disability Advisory Panel, which has made an enormous difference within our local creative arts scene. As a young person living with a disability, Zoe is a champion for accessibility. The $20,000 grant awarded to Shopfront will support their 360-Degree Access and Inclusion project to empower local youth through theatrical arts. I also want to commend the incredible contributions of this year's finalists, including the founder of Georges River Life Care, Glenn Power, and Stella Simmance, from Project Youth. Both of these individuals have worked incredibly hard for the vulnerable within our community, providing aid to those in need. Initiatives like the Westfield Local Heroes Program remind us of how strong our community is when we work together. Thank you to Westfield and the Scentre Group for recognising these remarkable individuals and organisations.
