Congratulating Tahlia Coulton
Mr MARK COURE (Oatley)
—Speaker, I recently had the opportunity to meet a remarkable young talent from my local community who has recently achieved many outstanding sporting achievements. Tahlia Coulton is a student at Georges River College Peakhurst who aside from making academic strides there, competes in competitive Gymnastics. Tahlia recently flew to Hong Kong, where she competed in The Grand Trophy Cup as part of a team, representing Australia in Aesthetic Group Gymnastics, where her team was placed third in preliminaries and the finals. Individually, Tahlia was crowned Ribbon Champion, winning first place in the Ribbon apparatus. She also placed second in the Ball, Freehand, and Clubs apparatus. Overall, placing second the Cup. What an amazing achievement! Tahlia is now travelling to New Zealand in December to compete in the 2024 United Cup and is working with her team towards competing in the 2025 Four Continents Championships in Canada next year. I would like to thank Tahlia for sharing her outstanding successes with me and congratulate her on these achievements. I wish Tahlia and her team the best of luck in their upcoming competitions, representing Australia on the world stage.
