Kogarah Community Services
Mr MARK COURE (Oatley) (16:31:21):
There are truly so many wonderful community organisations across my electorate and the St George area. However, among the cream of the crop is Kogarah Community Services. It does some fantastic things across the St George area. Today I congratulate Marisa Turcinskis, who has been made the new chief executive officer after a very successful year. The work that Kogarah Community Services does is special. It engages with communities in south‑eastern Sydney, providing aged care, before and after school care, as well as programs that provide social support for those who experience isolation and disadvantage. I have known Marisa for many years. She will lead the team very well, having many years of experience within both the sector and the organisation. I also congratulate Shelley Ross, who retired last year after more than 24 years of service. The work she did during her time was extraordinary as she engaged with the community in Kogarah and surrounding suburbs. I again congratulate Marisa on this fantastic achievement. I wish her all the very best.
