—Speaker, volunteers throughout New South Wales work tirelessly behind the scenes, with often little to no recognition for their work. That is why it is my absolute privilege to host the St George Community Awards every year. Since 2011, I've recognised countless local businesses, community groups and individuals for their wonderful contributions. Among these remarkable individuals, Patricia Christensen, Chief Instructor at the Hurstville All Breeds Dog Training Club, stood out this year, having dedicated over 35 years to the club. Patricia holds an absolute wealth of knowledge regarding dog obedience training, dog behaviour and club management. This makes her not only an expert, but one of the most approachable individuals I've had the pleasure of meeting. Her genuine enthusiasm for dogs and their well-being ensures that the program extends beyond just traditional training. It is clear that Patricia has a real knack for training animals. Once again, I'd like to extend my gratitude to Patricia for her unwavering commitment over the years. I am confident she will continue to contribute to her community well into the future.
