Geoff White

Mr MARK COURE (Oatley)

—Speaker, I believe that Mens Sheds are some of the most important local institutions within any community. I am grateful for the opportunity to recognise an incredibly valued member of the Bayside Men's Shed today, Mr Geoff White. I recently held the 2023 St George Community Awards, which has been recognising the contributions of individuals, community groups and businesses within my local area for 13 years. It was a privilege to award Geoff with a Senior Volunteer Achievement Award, for all his hard work over the last couple of years. I believe he perfectly embodies the spirit of inclusivity, resilience and of course, 'giving-it-a-go'. As a retired tech teacher, Geoff brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Bayside Mens Shed. Geoff never hesitates to help anyone with any assistance they require, which I'm sure the other members appreciate greatly. I'd like to recognise the importance of community-driven initiatives like the Bayside Mens Shed, who provide local volunteers with a space to help others. I wish Geoff all the very best in his future endeavours and thank him for his continued contributions to the Bayside Mens Shed.
