Shopfront Arts Co-Op Visit
Mr MARK COURE (OatleyMinister for Multiculturalism, and Minister for Seniors)
——Speaker, I recently had the opportunity to visit the Shopfront Arts Co-Op, a haven of resources, training and opportunities for young artists in the Sydney region. Located in Carlton, Shopfront Arts Co-Op caters towards musicians, actors, filmmakers and dancers that are looking to further their creative development and professional careers. They are non-for-profit, which means that all monetary support goes directly back into providing a multitude of resources and opportunities for young artists. It was wonderful to meet some of the great young talent and see all the fantastic resources that Shopfront has to offer. This is truly a state-of-the-art facility and I am so proud of the staff who work extremely hard, day in, day out to support young talent. I would like to thank Daniel Potter, the executive director and CEO of Shopfront, as well as the entire team who do a fantastic job in ensuring young artists within Sydney feel supported and empowered to follow their passions. I enjoyed my visit thoroughly and hope to stop by again soon.
