Mr MARK COURE (OatleyMinister for Multiculturalism, and Minister for Seniors)
——Speaker, I rise today to thank and congratulate a wonderful member of our local community, Kelly English, for her contributions to the McGrath Foundation through the Frannie's Day fundraiser. Kelly's achievements were recently recognised by a 2021 St George Community Award, as she received an Individual Volunteer Achievement Award for her efforts in raising money for breast cancer treatment and awareness. Kelly started Frannie's Day in 2010 in honour of her late mother, Frannie. The event is held at Grandviews bowling club and truly is a spectacular day out. There is a barefoot bowls competition, a silent auction, guest speakers, entertainment and everyone dresses in pink in support of Australians diagnosed with breast cancer. Over the many years that Kelly has run Frannie's Day, she has raised over $50,000 for the McGrath Foundation, which is an extraordinary effort. She has been an outstanding ambassador for the McGrath Foundation and keeps her mum's memory alive through this wonderful cause. I would like to congratulate Kelly again for receiving this award, and wish her all the best in her future endeavours.
