Dandelion Support Network

Mr MARK COURE (OatleyMinister for Multiculturalism, and Minister for Seniors)

——Speaker, I rise to recognise the outstanding work of the Dandelion Support Network in Caringbah, who are making a difference to families in need whilst also reducing their environmental footprint. The aim of the Dandelion Support Network is to provide infants and children with the essential nursery items that they need by repurposing products that are no longer required by local families. The organisation works across local hospitals, community organisations and support agencies to provide these items and their services have been particularly valued throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Last year, I had the opportunity to visit Cathy Nisbet, Gabby Humphries and the team at their office in Caringbah, to see the amazing work that they are doing across 37 different local government areas. Compassion, acceptance, support, sustainability and collaboration are the core values of the organisation and they are enshrined across everything that they do. I again want to thank Cathy, Gabby and the entire team for all of their incredible work and I look forward to working closely with the Dandelion Support Network into the future.
