Belle Goodacre's 104th Birthday

Mr MARK COURE (OatleyMinister for Multiculturalism, and Minister for Seniors)

——Speaker, I rise today to acknowledge a very special member of my local community, Belle Goodacre. Speaker, late last year I had the pleasure of attending Belle's 104th birthday celebration event at the Oatley Seniors Centre. It was a fantastic event which celebrated the long and eventful life that Belle has lived thus far. Belle is an inspiration to the St George Community as she has been an active volunteer throughout her life, helping those most in need in our local community. I also had the privilege of recognising Belle's outstanding contributions to our local seniors' community with a Lifetime Achievement Award as part of the New South Wales Seniors Week Awards. Speaker, it is so good to see that members of our seniors' community like Belle are doing so well, as they continue to bestow their wisdom and experience upon our younger generations. I would like to congratulate Belle for reaching this important milestone and also thank David Suba the president of the Oatley Seniors Centre for organising such a wonderful event.
