Hurstville Rotary Club & Hurstville Salvation Army

Mr MARK COURE (OatleyMinister for Multiculturalism, and Minister for Seniors)

——Speaker, I rise to acknowledge the Hurstville Rotary Club on receiving much needed funding from the NSW Government to help upgrade the kitchen facilities which they share with the Hurstville Salvation Army. This partnership between the Hurstville Rotary Club and the Hurstville Salvation Army is one of the strongest and oldest community partnerships across the region. These kitchen upgrades will help further this fantastic partnership which will subsequently mean that more elderly, vulnerable and in need individuals can receive the support that they need. The Hurstville Salvation Army was established in 1899 and The Rotary Club of Hurstville was first charted in 1939. Together, these organisations share 204 years of outstanding community service and we cannot understate the positive impact that this has had in the lives of local residents. These upgrades will ensure that these organisations can work in unity with the facilities that they deserve well into the future.
