Georges River Life Care Grant Presentation

Mr MARK COURE (OatleyMinister for Multiculturalism, and Minister for Seniors)

——Speaker, Georges River Life Care is an outstanding local organisation that has been busy throughout the COVID‑19 pandemic, providing food and support services to individuals and families in need. I would like to congratulate the organisation on receiving much needed funding from the NSW Government to upgrade their relief centre in Peakhurst. Thanks to the NSW Government's COVID-19 Sexual, Domestic and Family Violence Infrastructure Grant Program, the organisation has received $50,000 for these upgrades. This will provide additional lighting and carpet, a new suspended ceiling and an external weatherproof awning. These upgrades will improve the overall look, feel and practicality of the space and this is fantastic news for staff and the community. I wish to thank Glenn and Karen Power, Scott Morrison and the entire team, for all of their hard work and their continued commitment to helping individuals and families in need. This revitalised and upgraded relief centre will continue to provide food and essential items through the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond. Thank you again to Georges River Life Care for all of your outstanding work.
