St George District Netball

Mr MARK COURE (OatleyMinister for Multiculturalism, and Minister for Seniors)

——Speaker, I rise to congratulate the St George District Netball Association on receiving an important funding investment from the NSW Government. Thanks to the Community Building Partnership grant, the St George District Netball Association has received $40,000 to upgrade their storage facilities. It was an honour to join my Parliamentary colleagues, the Member for Rockdale, Steve Kamper and the Member for Kogarah, Chris Minns, on game day to announce the funding. The St George District Netball Association has teams across all age divisions and abilities playing on weekends and training during the week in Rockdale and their courts are the home of netball in our region. This funding will ensure that equipment can be stored safely and securely all year round. With participation rates growing ever higher within our local netball community, these upgraded facilities are great news for players and members of the association. I want to thank the President of the St George Netball Association, Tairua Ben‑Vavia and the entire team for all of their hard work and commitment to our local netball community.
