Lugarno Football Club

Mr MARK COURE (OatleyMinister for Multiculturalism, and Minister for Seniors)

——Speaker, I rise to congratulate the Lugarno Football Club after they received much needed funding from the NSW Government. Thanks to the Local Sports Grants program, the Lugarno Football Club has received funding to purchase additional digital software and provide portable goals for junior teams. From training nights to match day, this funding will allow the Lugarno Football Club to continue to develop the next generation of sporting champions whilst also making communication with members easier and more efficient. I want to thank the entire committee for continuing to nurture up and coming talent and for providing an inclusive place for players young and old. In particular, I wish to thank: President Michael Jarevski; Vice President Atef Elassi; Secretary Katie White and Treasurer Eddy Poh. With over 40 teams and more than 500 registered players, the Lugarno Football Club is one of our strongest community sporting organisations in the St George region. Congratulations again to the Lugarno Football Club on receiving this important funding boost. I have no doubt that you will continue to reach new heights in the future.
