Peakhurst United Football Club

Mr MARK COURE (Oatley)

—Speaker, I rise to recognise the Peakhurst United Football Club who has received an essential funding investment from the NSW Government so that their organisation can continue to grow. Thanks to the Local Sports Grant program, our community has received almost $40,000 to fund nine projects across our local sporting districts. For the Peakhurst United Football Club, this investment will mean that more Club members can participate in coaching courses. It was an honour to drop in to a training night with the Club to announce the funding, while discussing how the entire Club will benefit from having more qualified coaching personnel. The Peakhurst United Football Club has a number of highly successful teams across multiple age groups. By enabling more individuals to undertake coaching courses, even greater success is on the horizon. I want to thank Club President Mathew Papas, Club Secretary Tania Saify and the entire team for continuing to champion improvements to their facilities, organisation and the wider football community. I look forward to seeing the benefits from these additional coaching courses throughout their future seasons.
