Forest Rangers Football Club
Mr MARK COURE (Oatley)
—Speaker, I rise to congratulate the Forest Rangers Football Club who has received a funding injection for their organisation thanks to the NSW Government. As part of the Local Sports Grant program, the Club has received much needed funding which will allow more women to be involved in female development pathway courses. I believe it is fundamental that women have equal access to sporting and recreational opportunities and I have complete confidence that this funding will continue to grow female participation. The Forest Rangers Football Club currently has avenues for female engagement to cater for women of all ages and I want to thank their Technical Director of Women's Football, Amanda Marino and Women's Competition Coordinator, Bruce Kalnan, for their role in making this happen. It was my honour to head over to Gannons Park on match day to announce to Club President, Con Sorras and his team that they were successful in receiving funding alongside eight other local organisations. Congratulations again to the Forest Rangers Football Club.
