Sunnyhaven Disability Services

Mr MARK COURE (Oatley)

—Speaker, I rise to congratulate Maree Mullins and the team at Sunnyhaven Disability Services for their continued commitment to the St George region. 2020 was yet another strong year for the organisation and it came at such a fitting time given the impacts of COVID-19 on our community. In 2020, they provided 20 individuals with short term accommodation, they supported over 50 local residents with independent living arrangements and they ran programs and activities for a further 60 members of our community. I would also like to make a special mention of their music therapy, makeup therapy and acting therapy programs which have been highly praised by their clients. Earlier this year I sat down with Maree to hear about their impressive work during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic and their plans for continued growth in 2021. I have no doubt that with Maree Mullins at the helm, all of their plans will be actioned and they will continue to thrive throughout the St George area.
