Oatley 101 Society of Artists

Mr MARK COURE (Oatley)

—Speaker, at the end of last year I had the privilege of attending the Oatley 101 Society of Artists Christmas exhibition and I must say that the quality of work was simply outstanding. On show was a wide variety of art with traditional pieces right through to abstract designs. It was fantastic to see all of the artists who were rightfully proud of the works they created and it was interesting to hear about the process of creating these pieces and what it means to them. The Oatley 101 Society of Artists regularly runs exhibitions like these and I definitely encourage anyone who loves art to visit. They also run a number of workshops and live sessions which get a diverse range of people involved from across the local area. I would like to thank President Jill Hamilton and her team for their ongoing support to local artists and I have no doubt that they will continue to inspire the next generation of creators well into the future.
