—Speaker, my electorate of Oatley is home to a wide variety of talented football players who demonstrate integrity, sportsmanship and determination both on and off the field. Katie White of Lugarno Football Club most certainly enshrines these values and it is fantastic to see that last year she was recognised as a Lugarno FC Life Member. Katie started as a junior player at the Club over 25 years ago and she has remained there ever since. She continues to play in their senior division to this day. The Club acknowledged her life membership achievement with the "Katie White Round" in September at Gannons Park. Former club President Hagop Tchamkertenian announced that this will be an annual occurrence and it serves to motivate and encourage aspiring female athletes within the organisation. The Club also presented her with her Life Member's Badge and a special picture frame featuring her first and most recent playing jersey along with pictures from across her playing career. Well done Katie, I wish you all the best in the future and I hope that you continue to play at this excellent sporting organisation.
