St George Meals on Wheels

—Today I acknowledge St George Meals on Wheels and their CEO, Nahed Soliman, who continually provides an outstanding service to our community and to those in need of support. Meals on Wheels particularly focuses on providing meals to those who are elderly and less mobile to ensure that they are getting the food that they need, when they need it. Every month I visit my local branch at the Peakhurst Bowling Club to give back to our community. This is always a highly worthwhile experience and it always feels great to give back to those in need. This service has been running for over 60 years and every year they deliver over 4.5 million meals in NSW alone. To achieve this, there are 150 local teams across the state who create and pack meals year round. I wish the entire organisation all the best for many more years of hard work and I look forward to volunteering for them again shortly.
